Personality:
Sam is really crazy and happy, he's really free spirited and he talks with a Jamaican accent. He is kind of serious when on duty, and always has a lot of energy. His owner Kit have a large backyard so he can run in circles all he wants, but he still comes inside at laps up all his water and flops down on the floor, an hour later excited again. He is never lazy and is very.... Optimistic, but usually uses it in a sarcastic way.
Likes:
The beach, his job, hanging out with Cora, Alek, and all his other police team buddies. He loves running and the sand, heat, his 'family'(Kit and her kids), Kit, working with her.
Dislikes:
Smoke and Fire, letting criminals escape, feeling clueless (which happens a lot), being called 'mutt' or dumb and stupid, being left behind on missions, feeling useless

Kit's death, guns, death, fire(which causes smoke,so he fears that too)
Background:
Before birth- Kit's mom and dad adopted Sam's parents when they lived in Kingston, Jamaica, nit knowing about his mother being pregnant. They soon after moved to Montego Bay, to be closer to some other family members who were falling ill.
Eh... The rest x3- After the move the mother gave birth to six beautiful pups including Sam. Sam was the fourth pup born, and he lived in Montego Bay for one year, and then the family moved to Nome. Kit's parents had died a couple months before so she had kept Sam, and adopted off the pups before the move. Sam was confused about the move, but he always missed the beaches. Kit bought a small cottage in town. Nome was okay in their oppinion, and she got a job as a policemen of the town, with Sam as her partner. He whizzed through training, meeting Alek and his sister Cora on the way.
Sam got feelings for Kit, and new she wouldn't leave him. He often sat/lay down by her feet, with his head in her lap as she wrote in her spare time. He was her inspiration, and always protected her (from the mailmen, robbers, wolves, some dogs, squirrels,etc). At night he slept on her stomach in the bed (or... With his front paws and head on her xD).
One night their was a robbery, in her cottage. Sam woke up and began barking wildly, snarling at her closed room door. The man was in the dining room, and Kit woke up. She grabbed her emergency gun, and crept up on him, ordering Sam to scare him around. Sam crept silently into the kitchen, snarling. Startled, the man pulled out his gun, and began shooting randomly everwgere. The shots rang out everywhere, scaring Sam, scarring him forever when Kit jumped out and got shot in the arm. She managed to get him arrested, but Sam was depresses for numerous weeks, feeling like he failed his job at protecting her. Soon he was back at her side out on the field, although he quavered at every gunshot.
Soon after there was a loud crash of a plane landing, and Sam jumped. he hurried to the window to look, and Kit was already chatting on her phone to the cheif about someone's plane. She jumped down from the kitchen table (where he usually slept, when Kit was obviously sound asleep) and ran to the door. She told him to sit and stay, and he did, watching her leave. Sam hopped back up onto the window seel and looked out to see a young man and a blonde dog hop out of the plane. When Kit came back in, she told Sam to get the toolbox and come outside. He did so, and bounced along outside behind her, nudging Kit's hand every few seconds. Kit patted him and introduced him to the plane driver, Tyler, and Tyler patted his head. Sam looked over and smiled at the dog, who held a familiar sparkle in his eye, the storyteller's eye. He dropped the toolbox at Kit's feet and said to the dog: Taz? Mon is that You?....
Sam was walking down the road one day to see his sister Naomi, his leash dangling loosely behind him, the holder resting freely in Kit's hand as she went to see Daron. Earlier, they had gotten an earthquake warning, as they were on vacation in Montego bay, and a tsunami was coming, so they had cleared most of the island already, but now they were getting the last group. He jumped through the doggie door, and nearly stepped on a little ball of fluff. Terrified, Sam jumped up into Kit's arms, causing her to laugh, and put him down to hug Daron. They were loading the last boat when Naomi shreiked, crying for her ball of fluffy Duncan (as Sam calls him) and she ran off, scaring everyone. Later Sam saw her on the beach when they returned and scooped her up and took her home, since the tsunami was fairly small. She returned with therm to Alaska, where they visited each other fairly often.
Modifications:
-both eyes made blue, based off the Carribean ocean.
