Smooth Criminal

Once deep enough in the woods Gilert sat down on a stump and sighed, he was worn out. All the blood he'd lost really took a lot of his energy, and now he just wanted to sleep..

Brandy sat down beside Gilbert. "Are you okay?" she asked worriedly.

Gilbert looked at Brandy and managed a cocky grin.
"Of course I am! The awesome me could never not be!"

"Look, you can't fool me. Your losing blood. Don't think I didn't take health class," Brandy said.

"I'm fine Brandy." Gilbert said more strongly this time. He didn't want to see Brandy get sick from the sight if his torn up and bleeding back, but it hurt so bad his hands shook. His head was light an he felt dizzy, but normally he would just sleep it off, although this time it was worse. Much. Worse.

Brandy knew he was lying. "Look, you can tell me the truth," she said. "It's like you don't trust me."

Gilbert stood up and sighed.
"We've known each other for three days. You're not exactly my closest friend- who is dead, and even though I aporectiate the company it'd be smart of you to leave.." He said, his eyes taking on a sad look at the mention of his dead friend.

"Yeah, but I haven't left you have I? And obviously you care about me! You rescued me! And obviously I care about you! I've helped you!" Brandy said hotly.

"Gott, I was returning the favor!" Gilbert huffed, letting some of his native language slip out.

((Gil is German, but he's lived in Panem for a while))

"Well, excuse me for thinking someone cared about me for once!" Brandy huffed. She stormed off, wiping hot tears out of her eyes.

Gilbert frowned, and mentally kicked himself. He didn't want to go afte her..but then again he felt like he needed to, so he did. He strided up to brandy and grabbed her arm, making he stop. If she wasn't so short he would've kissed her but..now wasn't a time to be too awesome.
"Look I do care about you and obviously you care about my awesome self, so I'll stick with you." He smirked, and patted her head.
"Wherere you from anyways? Like..you always lived in Panem?"

Brandy's breath stopped short when Gilbert grabbed her arm. She thought he was gong to kiss her for a moment but she realized that he would Probsbly never do that. "Yeah, I have. Have you?" she asked.

Gilbert shrugged, looking down at her.
"I was born in Germany..But my parents moved my brother and I to Panem when i was seven." He answered honestly. He looked down into Brandy's green eyes and seemed lost, and before either of them knew it, Gil reached down and wrapped his strong arms around Brandy's waist, and pulled her up against him, crashing his lips against hers. He kissed her deeply before pulling away with a smirk, before setting her back on the ground.
"You look like you wanted that." He said teasingly.

Brandy was stunned for a moment but when she recovered, she said," Well, evidently you wanted it more." Secretly she loved that kiss, but why would she tell Gilbert that?

"Nah, Just wanted to see the look on your face." Gilbert teased, poking her in the ribs with a grin.
"Guess i did, I dunno. Haven't kissed anyone in a while."

"Have you ever?" Brandy said.

"Kissed someone? Yeah. Too many to count.." Gilbert mused, trying to remember how many girls he'd kissed, seduced, teased..more than he could count on one hand.
"How about you?"

"Oh, yeah. Of course," Brandy said, unsure of herself.

"You?" Gilbert arched a pale brow, returning to his spot on the stump, honestly getting too tired to stand but dang did he hide it well.

"What, is that supposed to mean anything?" Brandy asked knowing that she hadn't kissed someone because all the boys thought she wasn't attractive at any level. She knew that too.

Gilbert raised his hands, palms up, before snickering.
"You seriously haven't kissed anyone? Gott. You a virgin too?"

"Look, I don't feel comfortable talking about this to someone I hardly know. I'm going to take a walk," Brandy said.

Gilbert laughed quietly, shaking his head, leaning back on the stump.
"Can't believe i'm stuck with such a wuss.." He muttered, being the.."player" that he was, he'd always been one to get drunk in his basement with his brother and then hookup with any girl he wanted. But that changed after the fire..Since then he had been in jail, 4 years, until he escaped.

Brandy stopped when she heard that. She turned sharply and marched straight up to Gilbert. "You know what? You're a wuss. Trying to be tough? Ha. You and me both know that you're in a lot of pain right now, but you're too scared to admit it. When you die, I won't care because you never admitted to me that you're tired, and dizzy. Boys are so stupid!" she said loudly. Brandy then did something she never thought of doing. She picked up her hand, and slapped Gilbert as hard as she could. She then stormed off.

Gilbert stiffened. He wouldn't let his anger control him..not..again..Ahh fuck it. He stood quickly, and grabbed Brandy's arm, before shoving her roughly against a tree, his red eyes flaring with fury.
"You forgot who you're talking to." He growled lowly, his hand at her throat, before shoving Brandy to the ground.
"You'd be smart not to say things like that. If you knew the hell i've been through you'd know why i dont like to show pain." Jail had done that to him. The guys in there would kill you if you shed a single tear, and he'd learned well to hide any and all feelings except his obvious flirting.
