Smooth Criminal

Gilbert stiffened and held Brandy out at eye level with a frown.
"Are you crazy? I- No!" He said looking intently into Brandy's green eyes.

"Oh, but I'm allowed to watch helplessly from the sidelines? I don't think so. Look, I can medically help our side, and I know how to use a gun," Brandy said. "Gilbert please."

Gilbert shook his head.
"I can't risk loosing you." He said simply.

"I can't lose you either. If you die, I'm going to kill myself," Brandy said. "Or are you just going to say your too awesome to die?"

Gilbert blushed slightly but his face stayed straight.
"No way you're fighting. You can stay with the back up and wait for our call if we need help!" He said.

"Gilbert. If the President wins, don't you realize he's going to kill all of us? If I die, I want to die with honor, not shame," Brandy said firmly. "And if I fought in the war and we won and I didn't win, I would have made something of myself."

"If we loose He won't touch you, or me, we'll disappear." Gilbert said holding her shoulders firmly.
"Brandy..no. The answer is no." He growled, looking Away, clearly not sure wether he was making the right decision or not.
"I can't..please dont make me take you, I sorry but I would just..worry myself to death. And thats not very aweso-" Gilbert was interrupted by a hard kick to his back, reopening previously closed scars and making him gasp in pain as he fell to the ground.
"HAHA!!" Dylan chimed, before backing up with a terrified look upon seeing Gilbert's pissed expression and his eyes burning with hate.
"Um...oops..?"

"I have to. You don't understand," Brandy said coldly. "Dylan, you're stupid."

Gilbert growled something and picked Dylan on the face, letting his nose make a sickening crack before the boy began crying in pain.
"No Brandy. You can't change my mind." The albino huffed, with a determined look on his face.

"Well, technically I don't need your permission! I'm tired of people telling me what to do! All my life is,'Brandy, no! No, you can't do this.Blah blah blah.' It's tiring," Brandy puffed. She turned around sharply and stormed away.

Gilbert watched Brandy storm off before quickly following her and grabbing her arm, pulling her back softly.
"Brandy please don't do this.." He said weakly, pleading with his red eyes while he snaked his arm around her waist.

A tear blurred her vision as she looked down. "Gilbert..." she said faintly as she turned around and wrapped she her arms around his torso. Brandy leaned against him, listening to his heart beat.

Gilbert frowned and kissed the top of Brandy's head, holding her tightly against him.
"I'm sorry but..I can't stand the thought of you getting shot..or anything.."

"I can't either, but what will I do? All the people who fight will be recognized, and me? No one will know who I even am," Brandy said.

Gilbert swallowed the lump In his throat and hugged Brandy tighter.
"we don't have to be recognized..you're awesome all on your own."

"You're jut saying that to make me feel better," Brandy said as she looked down.

"Yeah but still!" Gilbert hummed swaying gently back and forth.

"I just...I could wear protective clothing!" Brandy offered.

"Please." Gilbert snorted. "Even I know how to shoot around bulletproof vests. Besides, we don't have protective clothing, babe."

Brandy unwrapped herself from Gilbert, and said,"I'm going to go on a walk." She turned around and walked the opposite way, her short hair waving in the wind.

A hurt look crossed over Gilbert's face but he let her go. After a few minutes of silence a David ran through the bushes and up to Gilbert.
"Gil!! There's officers everywhere in camp! Were under attack!" The youth cried and Gilbert nodded swiftly following him back and grabbing a gun.
"Gilbird." The albino called, and his little yellow bird appeared. "Find Brandy."

Brandy was walking around when she heard gunfire. She saw an officer that wasn't one of them. Her eyes got wide and she started to run, back to the direction of Gilbert. A yellow blur whizzed by her, and she saw it was Gilbird.

Gilbird flew up to Brandy and sat on her arm with a tweet.

Gilbert began shouting orders to the panicking rebels and soon enough they were all fighting, but by the looks of it, the officers were winning..by a lot.

Brandy kept on running when something happened. She saw a man laying on the ground, dead. A flashback occurred where her grandfather laid on the ground dead. Brandy was only five, but there was a news report and it showed the war from a long time ago. When she became aware again, she heard,"GET OUT OF THE WAY BITCH!" She was harshly shoved to the ground by a buff man on their side, not one of the officers. Brandy would have said some things, but simply got up and ran again, hoping she wouldn't get shot.

Gilbert was no where In sight. He was off in a clearing fighting the head officer, both of them bloody and eyes gleaming with hate.
"You won't win you shitty child." The man snarled, knocking Gilbert to the side with the hilt of his gun. Gbert stumbled to the ground and yanked a knife out of his pocket, stabbing it into the back of the man's leg and bringing him down. They wrestled on rhe ground, powered by hate and the need to win.
