Smooth Criminal

Brandy sighed and slowly laid back down. She smelled the sweet grass and fell asleep, trying not to think about her dream.

Morning came and Gilbert woke promptly, yawning and rolling over.

Brandy was already awake. She took the hunting knife Brantly gave her and went out to catch something and eat it for breakfast. She couldn't find anything, so she decided to eat the food Brantly gave her. She was preparing it when Gilbert woke up. "Hey," Brandy said.

Gilbert yawned.
"Hey.."

"You hungry now?" Brandy asked curiously, hoping he was.

Gilbert felt him stomach twist with hunger and he nodded faintly.
"Uh yeah i guess.."

"Here's some bread and cheese," Brandy said as she handed Gilbert it.

Gilbert took it slowly, and ate it just as slow, looking boredly around at the scene.

Brandy ate some bread also, and said,"I need to find a pond to take a dip in. I'm sweaty and gross."

"There's a river a short ways away." Gilbert said, nearly swallowing his breakfast whole.

Brandy got up and held her hand out to Gilbert. "Let's go," she said.

Gilbert took Brandy's hand and followed her down to the stream, before pulling off his shirt. He watched the water and scratched his scarred chest lightly.

Brandy didn't take off her clothes and waded in the cold water, causing goosebumps on her milk white skin. She looked back at Gilbert and said,"Come on in sexy, the water's fine."

Gilbert chuckled, and waded in after Brandy, grinning al the while.
"Why don't ya' take that off?" He asked, tugging lightly at her shirt. "It'll take forever to dry!"

Brandy laughed and took of her top, revealing her laced bra. She threw it to shore and said," Happy now? It's not water proof." She then dove in, the water awakening her senses.

Gilbert sank underneath the water after Brandy with a smile, and soon found her, linking his arms around her bare waist and kissing her firmly. He pulled her up and grinned, running his hands up her back and slowly unhooking her bra.

Brandy let him, and found his mouth under the dark water. She kissed him passionately sending electricity through her body. She then let him know she needed a breath and came up to the surface, only to o back down.

Gilbert leaned against a cool rock, kissing Brandy feverishly.
"I love you.." He mused quietly.

Brandy leaned against Gilbert, looking up at him. "I love you more," she said seriously.

Gilbert's smile fell for a moment, before he kissed Brandy again.
"I wish..we could just forget about..everything.." He muttered sadly.

"Me too..." Brandy said quietly before tears started to form from her eyes and slowly ran down her face.

Gilbert frowned, and gently wiped away Brandy's tears with his thumb, pulling her against him.
"I won't let him hurt you too." He said protectively.

Brandy sniffled and said,"But what about if you die? You can't protect me. I had a dream. Nightmare really. You and te president were fighting and he cut your head off. Then he came to me and told me that the new district was coming and I wouldn't be a part of it. Then I woke up. I'm scared Gilbert."

Gilbert's gaze darkened and his hold on Brandy tightened.
"I won't let that happen. I swear." He said softly.

"I believe you. Come on, let's get move on. We have a couple hours before dark, and a long ways away," Brandy said even though she didn't want to leave being so close to Gilbert.
