The person you hate to love

"Why?" Francis asked.

"It's..Odd." Arthur said simply, trying to hide the blush on his face.

"Oh.. okay..." Francis said, drawing back and frowning.

Arthur frowned again and sighed.
"Cake looks good.." He noted.

"It is." Francis said softly.

"Well..this is...awkward." Arthur said, putting his hands in his pockets.

"Yeah." Francis agreed.

(Any ideas?)

Arthur's eyes flecked to the floor, and then back up to Francis, then away again.

(I think Arthur should get hurt >D but I dunno how...)

.::A few days later::.

It was Friday, and Arthur was walking home from school, twilight was happening so the sky was getting dark. He'd been studying later after school, and didn't have a ride. Arthur sighed, looking behind himself once more before turning around and bumping into someone.
"Oh, excuse me.." He said politely, attempting to step around the man, who only sneered, tossing a beer bottle asie. Great, he's been drinking.. Arthur thought worriely- and the next thing he knew, he was beaten badly and was running for his life down the street, his arm lip and nose bleeding from the hits he'd taken.

Francis sat at the kitchen, flipping through a cook book.

Arthur heard the footsteps fade behind him as he walked up onto the porch with a tired pant. He pushed open the door and stumbled in, clumsily shutting the door and leaning against it.

Francis perked, hearing the door. He stood and walked over to the door and gasped to see Arthur broken.

"Arthur! Are you okay?" He asked, rushing over to the british man.

Arthur nodded and panted heavily.
"Yes.." He answered. "'m fine.."

"What happened?!" Francis pressed.

"Um, i was walking home for my last study hall and this drunk wanker started following me and ..then..hit me. A few times." Arthur said, wiping some of the blood off of his face on his sleeve.

Francis kissed his wounds, "My Petite Lapin! How horrible! Here let me fix you some tea!" He said, walking Arthur to the kitchen and sitting him down at the counter.

Arthur blushed when Francis kissed his lip and nose.
"Okay.." he said, too tired from running to objest to Francis' treatment.

Francis prepared a wash cloth and cleaned his wounds. He then made him some tea and set it next to Arthur. "Better?" He asked.

Arthur winced slightly when Francis dabbed at his cuts but smiled at the sight if his tea.
"Very.." He mused, lookig at the tea then Francis.
"Thanks." Arthur said, hugging Francis lightly.

"Anytime." Francis said with a wink.

Arthur winced slightly and sighed, looking at his hands.
"Oh fuck i dropped my books..." He said with an angry huff.

"I'll go get them.." Francis offered, really wanting to see the men who did this so he could hurt them.

"No!" Arthur objected, grabbing Francis' arm.
"They could..hurt you too..and they're drunk so there's no telling what they could do!"

"Don't worry about me, I'll be fine." Francis hummed.
