The person you hate to love

"No he had a gun!" Arthur objected, before covering his mouth.

"What?! He tried to kill you?! Yeah, I'm going back." Francis growled, now enraged.

"No he didn't try to kill me!" Arthur said, ignoring the striking pain in the back of his leg. He had kept that one a secret..but he couldn't much longer, since blood was running down the back of his leg now.
"I'm fine and i can get my books tomorrow anyways.."

Francis's eyes traveled to Arthur's leg. "Arthur!" She gasped, seeing the bullet wound, "We need to get you to a hospital!" He said, urging Arthur to the car.

"Francis i'm fine, it's just a scratch!" Arthur insisted, knowing they'd want to know what happened and then they'd get all tangled up in the police, and he didn't want to be around anymore Americans than he had to be.

"Like hell it's just a scratch! Come on! Get in the car!" Francis urged, settling Arthur gently in the car.

Arthur huffed and didn't fight Francis, and let him drive him off to the hospital. On the way, he began to feel slightly lightheaded, and he closed his eyes with a yawn.
"m tired.." He mumbled.

"Don't go to sleep, Arthur. Don't you do that." Francis barked, his knuckles white on the steering wheel.

Arthur winced at Francis' tone and sighed, closing his eyes again.
"But..im so tired. And my leg hurts. Why aren't we there yet?!"

"Arthur, look at me, stay awake, we'll be there soon. Just hold on." Francis said, a little more softly, trying to control his frantic tone.

"You caaan't tell me what to do bloody frog!" Arthur hummed, leaning his head against the door.

They pulled into the front of the Hospital. Francis scooped Arthur up in his arms and jogged him into the emergency ER, where the took Arthur away.

"Non! I must stay with him!" Francis explained as they took him away.

"Sir, we need you to stay in the waiting room." The nurse who was a few pounds over curvy explained. Francis scoffed and tried pushing past her but she stopped him.

Arthur watched the ceiling as they wheeled him into the ER. Was it that bad? He wondered, blinking in confusion. Maybe now he could sleep...! Arthur slowly closed his eyes and let himself drift off into sleep.

After what seemed like hours, a nurse notified Francis on Arthur's status. She told him he was still in surgary, and pretty much summed up to Francis that he couldn't help.

Arthur looked around crazily, it was pitch black outside, and he didn't know where he was.
"Hello!?" He called out, before hearing footsteps behind him.
"Mon cheri?" A familiar voice came to match the footsteps, but it wasn't Francis, it was that man..! He took a step back, eyes wide.
"Wheres Francis!?" Arthur demanded, and the man smirked, pulling something out from behind him..a head..with silky blond hair. A scream escaped Arthur's throat and he turned to run, but a gun shot hit him before he could move..

Arthur's green eyes flicked open and he winced at the sudden bright light.
"owhh.." He growled, moving his hand to cover his eyes from the light.

Francis sat at his bedside, holding Arthur's hand, when Arthur winced and jerked his hand away. Francis couldn't help but grin.

"Mon Amore! You're awake!" He beamed, taking Arthur's hand in his own and kissing his knuckles.

Arthur blinked and looked at Francis, relieved his head was..attached.
"Oh..yes i am awake now.." He mused, still a bit drowsy from the medicine.

Francis nodded frantically, "You were shot, I was so worried...I thought..." Francis's face darkened and he frowned thoughtfully.

"In the leg. Shot in the leg Francis I wasn't going to die." Arthur reminded him, sitting up in the uncomfortable hospital bed.

"..You were loosing a lot of blood...I almost lost you in the car..." Francis argued grimly.

Arthur sighed, deciding to shut up about it. Later that day he was released but was on "lockdown" where he had to stay home and off of his leg for at least a week. He sat boredly on the couch, flipping through the news channels.

Francis dashed around the house, his hair tied up in a messy pony tail, his 'Embrassez le cuisinier' apron slung over his clothes. He tended to Arthur frantically, getting his love anything and everything.

Arthur never needed much, except to be reminded to take his pills. He always bugged Francis to go out with Gilbert somewhere that he could take care of himself, but he wouldn't leave.

"Are you sure there's nothing else I can get you?" Francis asked, almost begging to be told what to do. He'd do anything for Arthur.

"Yes, frog, for the umpteenth time i do not need anything~! I can't even think of something you could do, unless you could entertain me. This TV does a horrid job." The brit scoffed in annoyance.
